Please register below and join us for our monthly WeROC Meeting of the Whole, this Thursday 2/3, 5:30-6:30 on Zoom. Our Action Team leaders will share updates on Voting Rights, Health Equity, and Justice Matters (criminal system reform) Action Teams — with opportunities for YOU to engage in the great work of one or more of the teams!
- We’ll also touch on the emerging cross-county role for WeROC, outlined in a public Statement we began distributing this week: Encouraging and supporting local residents, congregations, and organizations – especially those most harmed by Covid and past decisions — in cities and townships across Washtenaw County who are now engaging — or hope to engage in the near future — in the exciting local decisions beginning to happen on how best to spend the large new sums of federal money becoming available to us.
- You can help us identify folks or groups that are organizing around local decisions about ARPA (and other potential sources of major new funding).
One more thing: Please RSVP for this Friday’s Transit Equity Day events. Equitable public transportation is in WeROC’s DNA, having cut our teeth on very successful local transit issues. We strongly encourage broad participation in this event.
