Summer greetings, WeROC Community–
Register here for Thursday’s (Aug 5) monthly (still virtual) Meeting of the Whole, 5:30-6:30 pm.
As many of you have been a part of, WeROC’s 3 new Action Teams — Voting Rights, Health Equity, and Justice Matters — are taking this moment that history has offered us seriously. These Teams have already begun to help WeROC do its part to build the cross-racial, cross-County, bottom-up movement we’ll need to turn these opportunities into real progress in local and regional equity.
We’ll hear updates (and opportunities!) from the Action Team leaders and take any questions you may have. A bonus will be getting a report and reflections from our Justice Matters Action Team (JMAT) co-chair Alyshia Dyer on the virtual week she just spent as a part of the major national community organizing training offered regularly by the Gamaliel Network for affiliates like WeROC and MOSES.
We hope you’ll consider finding a role that fits you and your time with one of the Action Teams, and join us for as much of Thursday’s meeting as you can (that link again)!
